Colortronic
was born in 2002 after a two months journey
around California. The first live P.A. was in Electro
Beach Rave, on the New Year's Eve
of 2003 on Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro
(Brazil). Colortronic has performed in Culturall
(FM radio program, Rio), Electric
Head (Bunker 94, Rio), Ecorave
(Macumba Beach, Rio), StormLab
(Rio), E-Movement
(Ilha, Rio), Taquicardia E-Party
(Rio) and so on. Colortronic was one of the
selected names to play in PLUG
festival in 2004. PLUG is a project
which main focus is to discover new names in the
Brazilian electronic scene.
Colortronic also made the soundtrack for Ricardo
Arita in Fashion Rio in
2003. During January 2004 Colortronic was on the
cover of Fiberonline,
one of the biggest Brazilian websites dedicated
to electronic music ("With several
presentations in Rio's effervescent scene, this
project is one of the new names to tame the
genres war. They navigate with competence between
trance and techno, risking even more climatic
textures reminding Ibiza."). Colortronic was
also a Featured Artist in UBL
on December 2006.
Sonic Rainbow is the
name of Colortronic's debut album, with 12 songs
accompaining the colors of the rainbow (label: ResearchMusic.com,
publisher: Art of Doing Publishing,
Inc./BMI). The
album is for sale in iTunes
since Feb. 20th, 2007 and on other 100 online
stores around the world (Microsoft/ZUNE,
Microsoft/MSN music, Real Networks/Rhapsody,
Starbucks/HearMusic, MTV/Urge, OD2, MusicNet,
